Russ has recently completed the CELTA course at Coleg Glan Hafgren in Cardiff and Duangta has finished the Bridge Programme at Cardiff University.
Whilst in Bangkok, Russ hopes to get a job teaching English and Duangta will continue her studies towards her Master’s degree.
Russ has had a selection of careers in his time: from leaving college to join the British Army to working offshore on the drilling rigs; to owning his own IT consultancy; and then to being a Yacht Captain and delivering sailing yachts all over the world.
Duangta has a Bachelor of Education, majoring in English, from the Rajabhat Rambhaibarni University, Chantaburi, Thailand.
Russ first went to Thailand in 2008 whilst participating in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Following an injury sustained in the Southern Ocean he went to Thailand for some recuperation and, whilst there, fell in love with the country.
